Makeups
Each family may use three makeup classes during the current full-length session (two for summer) by signing up through the online makeup scheduler. Makeups do not carry over to future sessions and have no monetary value.
Class Changes
We will attempt to accommodate any requests to change classes if possible during the first three weeks of a ten-week session only. The communal bonding of each class is critical to your child's growth and sense of security, as well as the successful flow of the class. Please always select a second choice when you register if you are in the process of applying to preschool and include a note if you know there's a chance you may need to switch classes so I can plan accordingly.
Cancellation/Postponement Policy
Refunds/credits are available for registrations cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the first published class of the session only (e.g., if Fall Session begins Sept. 6th at 4:45p, refund window closes Sept. 4th at 4:45p), and in that case, a $30 cancellation/postponement fee will be deducted.
Partial credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis after the session starts,* and all credits must be used by the immediately following session (except for Holiday). Please contact director ASAP if you cannot continue with your enrollment for any reason. Thank you!
* Travel, change in work, naps, or daycare/preschool do not typically qualify for credit, and testing positive for COVID no longer qualifies as reason for credit. If you or your family has COVID or any other illness, you may sign up for a makeup as soon as you are well.
Payment
The registration system will take you to PayPal to pay via credit card or PayPal unless you select Pay Later.
To pay a different way, please register first, select "Pay Later" at the end of the process, and then follow one of the avenues below, being sure to note child's name & class you want:
• Venmo: Valley Cat Music is @valleycatmusic on Venmo, but for drop-ins (or to be Venmo friends), please pay @deborahdietrich. Note: The last four digits of my cell are 6656.
• Zelle: You may send Zelle payments to [email protected] or 323.528.6656.
• PayPal: You can always pay via PayPal at any time by visiting PayPal.me/valleycatmusic.
• Credit Card: 1. Click the Make Payment header to use your credit card without logging into PayPal (existing balance due must be in your account, so register first).
2. In class, you can swipe/tap your credit/debit card to pay for classes/drop-ins in person with Deborah via Square.
• Checks/Cash (still accepted! Great for gift certificates from grandparents): If it's more than one week prior to the start of the session, please print out your registration form and mail it with your check—payable to Valley Cat Music—to 4738 Farmdale Ave, Valley Village, CA 91602. Otherwise, please add a note that you will be bringing your check/cash to your first (or current) class.
• Payment Plans: Please start by making a deposit payment of at least $50 and then contact Deborah to make arrangements to divide up the rest of your tuition. Note that non-attendance does not change the tuition amount, just as if you'd paid the total upfront. Thank you!
Communications
• EMAIL: Please allow contact by email, and be sure add grandparents', other parents', or nannies' email addresses for pertinent class-related communications if multiple adults take students to class. ***Please also add [email protected] to your Contacts since often email from this system lands in your Junk/Spam folder the first time you receive it.*** Thank you!
• SMS OPT-IN: MainStreet Sites offers the ability to send group/class texts to current families (only), but I need your permission in order to use that feature (click the SMS Opt-In box when you register/edit your account). Please opt in! With so many of us relying on texts to get urgent information, I'm hoping you will trust me with your time and opt IN. I will only use text messaging in class emergencies and once/semester for re-enrollment coupons.
Vaccinations
Up-to-date seasonal & childhood immunizations are strongly recommended for attendance in our classes. Please consult with the director if you have any questions. Thank you!
