Thank you for your interest in our classes! (scroll for schedule)
As a family in one of our Music Together classes, you and your child will have the opportunity to play musically each week under the guidance of one of our early childhood music specialists. During class, you will sing and move to songs and rhythmic rhymes in a variety of meters and tonalities by participating in activities that include small and large movement, instrument play, and community singing. These fun activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences that are developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers to participate in regardless of their own musical ability.
What's in the Box: Each fall, winter, spring session has its own song collection (download code plus CD and brand-new fully illustrated & revamped songbook), with nine distinct collections in all; three summer compilations are "best of" collections; holiday session uses Music Together "Family Favorites" vol. 1 or 2 or the "Lullabies" collection plus the intro 8 songs on the free app). Families new to Music Together will also receive our “Music Together at Home: Helping Your Child Grow Musically” parent booklet, a growth chart to look ahead at your child's potential musical development (and yours), and occasional newsletters from Music Together..
The Family Music Zone & "Hello, Everybody" app:
As an enrolled family, you'll create one Music Together login to share with family members & caregivers across all devices, and with each song collection you'll receive a code to unlock your music either online at the Music Together Family Music Zone or on Music Together's free "Hello, Everybody" app. Both platforms provide access to your songbook, Music Together storybooks, song notation, videos, and much more!
Class Size (updated): The maximum enrollment for backyard classes is currently six families (one adult only); maximum for Zoom is eleven. Two caregiver devices are welcome to participate on Zoom (parents, nannies, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc.). Current minimum is three families for both Zoom and backyard. Any class not meeting the minimum enrollment is subject to cancellation, so invite your friends to join you in your favorite class if you see there's space! See FAQ on Who Can Attend?
On Hold: To put your name on a waiting list for a class that's on hold, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Trying It Out: To sign up for a trial Zoom class, click here. No demo or drop-in backyard classes for Spring '21.
Typically, trial classes (demos/intros) for new families are free/no obligation the first two weeks of each full-length session only (fall, winter, spring), so once immunization levels increase (hopefully by fall), we can reopen the demo scheduler. Drop-in enrollment is only offered during summer and holiday sessions when it's safe to do so.
SPRING*21 "TRIANGLE" (8w): APR.14 ~ JUN.13
Family/Mixed Ages (birth on up, everyone at home is included in online classes; siblings under 8 months free in outdoor classes)
